The candidate will be required to be in the office three days a week, on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays, and will have the flexibility to work from home for the rest of the week. Principal Responsibilities: The Financial Project Controller is responsible for the financial management of Capex projects ranging from $5 to $10 million within the IPEX Group's North American operations. This includes areas such as project accounting, audit, budgetary controls, project financial evaluation and justification, procurement and purchasing approval, monitoring of project and financial performance/progress, and project presentation and reporting, as well as business case preparation. Collaboratively work with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project reporting expectations are clearly defined and understood. Organize and validate project information (financial, scope, risk, performance, quality) and compile regular reports Oversee, identify and resolve deviations. Monitor performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators for successful completion of capital projects. Complete ad hoc assignments to support capital project completion. Create and execute internal controls for better project management and assure controls are implemented efficiently while cooperating with administrative control department. Ensure that projected Cash Flows of all major projects are developed, forecasted, maintained and provided to the Treasury Department. Manage project accounting databases to ensure timely security and control. Approval of Project Purchase Order by component to ensure project remains financially on track and to understand, explain and approve any project spend deviations. Ensure financial information accuracy between program-level and subproject reporting. Prepare reports and presentations for project financial management and divisional reporting. Conduct cost variance analysis and schedule variances against baseline values/schedules, identify and report major variances Enforce actual project data collection and weekly accurate estimates. Recommend and execute corrective actions to handle project compliance. Qualifications & Experience 5 years of relevant experience managing the finance of CAPEX projects preferably in a manufacturing environment. CPA designation Experience with a global setting Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
