The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2025 FNCE 477 LEC 01/TUT 01 (Personal Financial Management in Canada). Classes in the Fall 2025 semester run from September 2 to December 5, 2025. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between December 9 to December 19, 2025, if applicable.

The calendar description of the course:
"An introduction to personal financial management in Canada. Topics covered may include goal setting, personal financial statements analysis, the time value of money, the Canadian personal income tax system, taxation issues for small businesses, risk management, an introduction to investments, retirement planning and estate planning. Students will be expected to display a comprehensive knowledge of the tools necessary to complete their own personal financial plan."
Qualifications:
- MBA degree or equivalent and work experience in the field are desirable
- Previous post-secondary teaching experience is preferred
- Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing instruction in a post-secondary setting
- Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products is an asset
