Commissionaires BC is currently looking for security professionals to work at the Kelowna International Airport (YLW). As a Security Officer, some responsibilities include curbside traffic control, cart collection, and continuous foot patrol.
Shifts available:
Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
Saturday & Sunday 7am - 3pm
Monday - Friday 4pm - 12am
Saturday & Sunday 4pm - 12am
Wage: $22/hour
Some of your responsibilities include:
Curbside traffic control
Cart collection
Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public
Interior and exterior patrols
Access Control
CCTV Monitoring
Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
Your Must-Haves:
BC Security License
Basic Security Training (BST)
Clear criminal record with ability to obtain airport clearances: RAIC and AVOP
Excellent problem solving skills
Able to work under pressure
Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and work both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
Your Nice-To-Haves:
Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
You have resided in Canada for the last five years
Hold Basic or Intermediate First Aid (OFA 1 or 2)
Moderate computer skills
