Join our team today!Job DescriptionAccountabilities:Patient screening, intake/observation, assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning, counseling, discharge planning, consultation and educationPreparation of mealsAttending monthly staff meetingsOther facility-related duties as assignedQualificationsThree years experience in the addiction fieldA two year community college diploma in health or social services with an addiction concentration, and/or complemented by other recognized academic credentials in addiction studiesA combination of academic credentials and relevant experience will be consideredDemonstrated screening and assessment skills regarding appropriateness of non-medical withdrawal servicesDemonstrated knowledge and experience of the effects of withdrawal from alcohol and other substancesCurrent CPR/First Aid certificationCurrent non-violent crisis intervention trainingCore knowledge and skills for withdrawal management training is an assetKnowledge of the substance abuse treatment system in OntarioKnowledge of gambling treatment is an assetKnowledge of second language(s) and ethno-cultural diversity issues preferredDemonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work with other agencies and/or organizationsDemonstrated verbal, written and computer skillsMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationExcellent attendance and punctualityMay be required to travel between and work at all Osler sitesBasic computer skillsAdditional InformationDURATION: Approximately twelve (12) months or until the previous incumbent returns.Hours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)SALARY:
