About the Role
We're hiring full-time Security Guards for various sites across Vancouver, BC. You'll play a critical role in ensuring safety at hospitals, office towers, retail centers, schools, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol properties (up to 20 km per shift), both indoor and outdoor, including stairwells and uneven terrain
Monitor CCTV and access control systems
Respond to alarms and emergencies (fire, medical, etc.)
De-escalate conflict and manage incidents involving aggression or intoxication
Interact professionally with the public and emergency services
Write accurate incident reports and use two-way radios or mobile apps to log patrols
Some roles may require Bike Patrol or overnight work
Valid BC Security Worker License
Physically fit to patrol up to 20 km per shift, including stairs
Comfortable working in all weather conditions
Available for at least 3 shifts per week, including evenings/overnights
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Willing to undergo a criminal background check (may include fingerprinting)
Able to provide 3 professional references (past supervisors or managers)
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable with computers, smartphones, and two-way radios
Nice-to-Have:
Occupational First Aid Level 1 or 2 (OFA1/OFA2)
Advanced Security Training (AST)
Bike patrol experience
Marine Transportation or Ports Security Clearance
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle access
Prior experience in security, customer service, or emergency response
