The AWS Identity Resource Management team is looking for a Business Intelligence
Engineer to join us in our mission of improving adoption of AWS Identity
services. You will be responsible for the design of the end-to-end data flow and
will work closely with product managers, technical program managers, and
software engineering teams to drive data analysis, attribution, creation and
reporting of business metrics. If you love working with huge data sets and
delivering the insights you discover through business intelligence analysis and
reporting, you will be challenged, have fun, and make history improving adoption
of AWS Identity services.
Key job responsibilities
This role will solve the problem of correlating business and service metrics,
and define the ways to measure the impact of adoption of AWS Identity services.
It’s an ambiguous problem with high growth potential and wide influence. The

A day in the life
As a Senior BIE in AWS Resource Management, you will:
Collect, analyze, and share data to help product, marketing and business
development teams drive improvement in key business metrics and customer
experience
Propose and prioritize changes to reporting, create additional metrics and
define processes based on customer requirements
Work closely with business teams to create ad-hoc reports to support business
decisions and project work
Identify and implement new capabilities and best practices to develop and
improve automated data analysis processes

Basic Qualifications: - 10+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data
sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical
analysis of results
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science,
machine learning and data mining Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working
directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

The base salary for this position ranges from $97,400/year up to $162,600/year.
Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of
compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in
addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
