Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in forestry, heritage, wildfire planning and resource analysis. We are currently looking to add a Mid-Level - Senior Forest Technician to our Forestry team.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Forest Technician you will be responsible for the following:
Leading the planning and layout of road and harvest systems
Lead all aspects of data management in the field and office
Ensure legal, regulatory and client specific requirements are met with deliverables
Effective supervision in the field and providing training for all crew members
Qualifications and Experience:
An above and beyond commitment to safety
Education in forestry field with a Forestry Tech Diploma or Degree
Registered or eligible for registration with ABCFP as RPF or RFT (or working towards)
Experience with road and cutblock layout within BC (minimum 4 years)
Experience utilizing LiDAR data for planning and locating roads and cutblocks
A firm understanding of forest policy, guidelines and BC’s regulations
Experience in steep slope layout and deflection analysis, SP data collection and drafting, riparian assessments, forest health, surveys.
