Amazon’s Payment Acceptance and Experience organization is seeking a senior
product manager, who is passionate about building consumer products that deliver
value to our customers. In this role, you will define Amazon-wide consumer
payment experiences in partnership with UX Designers, Data Scientists and
Software Engineers. Payments is a deep and complex area at Amazon that will
require you to dive deep on how worldwide customers prefer to pay for goods and
services and translating those requirements to our CX and Platform teams to
develop systems that scale to billions of customers. This role is part of a
product team that seeks a diverse set of opinions to meet the broad range of
customer needs and wants.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing, managing and optimizing the payment
experience solutions which enable every customer to purchase across Amazon. You
will own product vision and strategy to invent new capabilities for customers to
register, select and make payments. Additionally, you will own working with
partner teams to enable new solutions and channels across web, mobile, and new
commerce channels. The ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrated history of
successfully owning and managing large, complex problems and engaging with
cross-functional teams, and numerous stakeholders up to senior levels, through
influence.
Each day as a product manager varies, but over the course of a week you will
- interact with internal stakeholders to align on the roadmap
- meet with the engineering and UX team to prioritize the delivery plan
- work closely with data teams to analyze and forecast results
- research customer insight to improve the payment experience
- share with leadership the progress and areas where you seek support
