Position: Food Cashier
Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability requirements: Weekdays and weekends - mornings (6:00 a.m. start), afternoons, and evenings (up to 10:00 p.m.)
Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service and respond to customer questions
Ensure accurate processing of sales transactions in grocery and lottery
Assist customers with bagging and carrying out purchases
Merchandising products and setting up labelling and signage
Handling customer phone orders
Performing daily cash-up
Providing direction to junior team members
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Be familiar with and adhere to Central Alberta Co-op policies and procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
Exceptional attention to detail and quality
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with the ability to work independently
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
Applicants must be over 14 years old (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
