We currently have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant at our Richardson Port Terminal located in Thunder Bay, ON. This position is responsible for providing confidential administrative support to management and operating departments and performing a variety of administrative functions. Responsibilities: Receiving/shipping supplies in Richardson’s maintenance/asset management system (IFS) Close off work orders/preventive maintenance tasks in the maintenance/asset management system (IFS) Creation of purchase orders and work orders Manage contractor orientations and regulatory compliance Manage the consumable good requirement Preparing documents, reports and presentations; developing and maintaining spreadsheets Organizing the documentation flowing through all departments Maintenance of confidential filing systems and employee records Manage janitorial staff Special event coordination Communication/office equipment support Provide backup coverage for training, scheduling, payroll, and accounting support Qualifications: Required Administrative Certificate/Diploma, or other relevant education and/or experience Minimum of two years administrative experience Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels Strong self-starter who is adaptable to different situations and a team player Excellent communication and organizational skills; high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time A desire to be cross trained and learn about our business Experience Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Excellent organizational and communication skills Asset Previous experience in a grain handling facility or food-handling environment is a definite asset Previous experience working in a unionized environment Knowledge of IFS assets management system Knowledge of KRONOS payroll systems Richardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities.
