Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner supervises a team composed of mechanics, assistant mechanics, electromechanics, and laborers. He plans the work of his team according to factory priorities and aims to minimize production stoppages. He ensures the follow-up of the factory's maintenance program at the preventive and corrective levels to minimize production stoppages. He optimally manages the workshop's parts store. He supervises the maintenance work of subcontractors. He participates in the realization of maintenance projects. What’s involved in this role: More specifically, the responsibilities of the Maintenance Planner in Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil are: Direct and plan the work of a team according to factory priorities and in a way that minimizes production stoppages (schedule and discipline management); Ensure the application of the company's Quality (BPI) and OHS policies by his team and subcontractors (lockout, confined space, hot work, work at height, etc.); Ensure compliance and optimization of the procurement process; Maintain minimum inventories of parts and equipment in the workshop; Define, organize, and follow up on the factory's preventive and corrective maintenance program to generate performance and operational efficiency; Plan, prepare, and ensure compliance with the work schedule during factory shutdown days; Participate in the planning of the annual factory shutdown; Ensure compliance with operational budgets in his sector (labor, maintenance, and special projects); Replace the Maintenance Supervisor when he is absent. What you need to join our team: Bachelor's or DEC in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or any other equivalent combination of training and experience could be considered; 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role in a unionized environment; Experience with Guide TI (an asset); Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
