Are you detail-oriented with a hands-on approach? Join our team at the Red Deer Home Centre as a part-time Yard Attendant.
Position: Yard Attendant
Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service
Perform shipping and receiving duties as required
Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts
Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
Exceptional attention to detail and quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently
Valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is an asset
Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
Experience running a forklift is preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
