Job Description: Provide in-field technical support to reduce downtime of loading and drilling fleets, ensuring mine production targets are met. Schedule and conduct regular customer visits, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and identifying service needs early. Collaborate with the Finning Parts Department to ensure timely delivery of parts for both planned maintenance and unplanned repairs. Deliver timely, data-driven technical reports to customers and internal teams, outlining equipment condition and service recommendations. Conduct machine audits and use analysis reports to advise customers on necessary component replacements and maintenance actions. Maintain open, effective communication with internal departments including technical services, account management, and marketing to align on customer support strategies. Immediately escalate critical machine-down situations to the appropriate internal teams to ensure swift resolution. Identify and recommend safety improvements, including strategies to mitigate Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) risks. Maintain accountability through scheduled activity tracking and performance metrics. Build and maintain a comprehensive library of technical issues and resolutions to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer-facing technical service role, preferably in mining or heavy equipment industries. Direct experience with Caterpillar electric rope shovels and/or hydraulic shovels is required. Solid understanding of mining operations and equipment performance requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear technical reporting and customer interaction. Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple priorities and customer schedules. Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Highly adaptable and able to work effectively in diverse, fast-paced environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and service excellence. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and growth within a dynamic organization. In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and OEM service standards.
