Mail Delivery Driver
Key Responsibilities:
Sorting and distribution of mail and office supplies, including interoffice, couriers and overnight;
mail to company personnel and/or designated drop-off points;
Sort and load mail and packages into the delivery vehicle according to the route;
Deliver mail and packages to various business addresses;
Delivery of mail and printing projects throughout the customers site;
Collect outgoing mail from various locations;
Obtain signatures for registered, certified, or insured mail;
Ensure secure handling and transport of mail;
Operate postal vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws;
Keep accurate delivery logs and records;
Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers regarding delivery issues;
Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles (e.g., checking oil, fuel, tire pressure);
Follow established safety protocols and delivery procedures;
Expected to assist with other workflows during downtime - posting mail, stuffing envelopes, etc.
Other duties as required by manager.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Minimum of 2 year’s experience working in a mail room
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Familiarity with local area and navigation tools (GPS/maps).
Good time management and organizational skills.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop business relationships.
Strong self-motivation to drive results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to get your Reliability security clearance.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily outdoors and on the road.
May involve weekends (rare).
Exposure to various weather conditions.
