JOB OVERVIEW
Assist managers and Engineering staff with technical evaluations and proposals, as required by LEP projects. Maintain instructions and procedures up to date, assist in report preparation, review proposals from external organizations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Working in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and regulations:
Prepare or assist preparation of specifications for Engineering, with focus on Nuclear Safety aspects. Support preparation of bid packages and Scope of Work documents for purchasing analysis services.
Review proposals received from internal or external sources related to assigned area. Discuss proposal with originator as necessary to suggest changes or revisions as appropriate. Recommend disposition of proposal to Supervisor in writing for review and forwarding to approval authority.
Assist in preparation of reports and other documentation for external clients, such as Safety Reports. Initiate studies or investigations where opportunities for improvement are apparent. Collect and analyze data, deliver presentations and organize stakeholder meetings. Provide explanations and answers to questions received from recipients of reports.
Support technical evaluations, solve problems as required, in a number of work areas, in support of LEP projects and facilities. Receive assignments from manager as well as identify potential problems and opportunities in assigned areas.
Maintain and/or update department/divisional procedures. Receive assignments relating to procedures from Supervisor or identify potential problems and opportunities
