Business Systems Consultant (Financial Services)
Experienced business systems consultant sought for a senior-level role in the insurance industry, driving large-scale data and IT transformation initiatives. Work in a hybrid, cross-functional environment on strategic projects involving analytics, legacy modernization, and digital platforms.

Responsibilities:
• Understand and define long-term business capabilities and strategic roadmaps.
• Translate user needs into detailed requirements, epics, user stories, and data documentation.
• Define data needs and build out advanced data and analytics platforms.
• Drive innovation by expanding platform capabilities and identifying new data opportunities.
• Analyze systems and business processes to assess the impact of development work.
• Develop, review, and refine both business and technical documentation.
• Support full rollout and end-to-end validation of developed solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple time zones and business functions.
• Influence decision-making through clear communication of complex concepts.
What you will need to succeed:
• University degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience as a Business & Systems Analyst using agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in the life insurance or related financial services industry, especially within the HNW space.
• Demonstrated experience supporting data initiatives, including data analysis, visualization, and integration modeling.
• Proven track record in supporting legacy system modernization and large-scale transformation.
• Experience working with client-facing technologies and digital engagement platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS Data service components (asset).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Design Thinking principles.
• Clear understanding of privacy, compliance, control, and security requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to convey complex technical and business concepts simply.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, collaborative environment.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-evolving environments.
