Bilingual Customer Service Representative — Remote
This opportunity is within the insurance industry for one of our clients in Canada. The role is fully remote and offers the chance to support a high-performing team known for its collaborative and customer-focused approach. The successful candidate will contribute to daily operations within the Disability and Life Claims Contact Center, playing a key part in delivering quality service in a fast-paced environment.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $22 to $24, based on experience.
• 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Weekday shifts between 8 am and 8 pm EST (rotational).

Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls and emails regarding group disability claims.
• Provide technical support, including online claims submission assistance, password resets, and user ID troubleshooting.
• Access and navigate internal systems to locate relevant customer information.
• Research and resolve client inquiries within defined service timelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with plan members and sponsors.
• Prioritize incoming requests effectively to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Foster team engagement by collaborating with colleagues and supporting peers as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
• Post-secondary education is an asset but not required.
• 1+ year experience in a customer service or administrative environment.
• Bilingual in English and French to support clients in both languages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy and keyboarding proficiency.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams for remote collaboration.
• Ability to adapt and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective problem-solving and customer service mindset.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology considered an asset.
