Reporting to the Leader, Compliance, the Enterprise Compliance Lead will be responsible for building and maintaining Interac’s enterprise compliance program and standardization across 2nd line compliance activities including Participant oversight. You will own Interac’s enterprise compliance framework and lead 2nd line effective challenge. You will build and maintain an inventory of compliance obligations, risk assessments, and associated controls. You will provide oversight and effective challenge on compliance issues and remediation. You will lead critical compliance processes including management and regulatory reporting, integration with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, and regulatory change management. You will bring deep awareness and knowledge of applicable regulatory standards as well as cross-industry compliance best practices. You will provide compliance oversight on corporate functions as well as support and standardization for product compliance verticals. You will focus on enhancing control oversight and compliance practices utilizing automation and proactive detection mechanisms. This is a fast-paced senior compliance role which requires strong analytical skills, ability to lead, and in-depth compliance experience. You’ll be responsible for: Building and maintaining enterprise compliance frameworks, standards, and procedures. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the enterprise compliance inventory comprised of obligations, risk assessments, and controls. Building and maintaining an enterprise compliance issues management program. Enabling management line of sight into compliance and regulatory risks through standardized and automated reporting. Standardizing compliance activities through GRC system integration. Leading compliance oversight and effective challenge of corporate functions. Enabling and supporting a standardized compliance methodology across 2nd line product compliance verticals. Developing and implementing enterprise and targeted compliance training. Conducting regulatory horizon scanning and leading regulatory change management. Identifying and implementing efficiencies, automation, and improvements to compliance effectiveness. Conducting complex multi-party compliance investigations. You bring: 8-10 years of hands-on experience as a senior compliance and risk professional. In-depth experience designing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs. Ability to perform detailed research, risk/compliance assessments, and due diligence. Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables associated with eliciting, clearly defining and documenting required compliance practices. The ability to give meaning to data.
