Applied Biological Materials Inc. (abm) is a Canadian biotech company that has been accelerating discovery in life sciences and drug development for over 20 years. Headquartered in Richmond, BC, with international operations in the USA, China, and France, we are growing at a rapid pace and expanding our innovative cell biology programs.
We are currently seeking a Technician – Cell Biology (Organoid/iPSC Focus) to support R&D and product development initiatives within our 3D culture and stem cell platform. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in organoid or iPSC culture who wants to make meaningful contributions in a fast-paced, collaborative biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and advanced cell culture, including 2D, 3D, stem cell, and organoid workflows
Maintain iPSC lines and support differentiation protocols under supervision
Assist in experimental design, execution, and data collection
Prepare reagents, media, and other materials required for experiments
Maintain detailed laboratory records and ensure adherence to SOPs
Collaborate with scientists and senior team members on ongoing R&D projects
Qualifications
BSc or MSc in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on lab experience with organoids and/or iPSCs (academic or industry)
Familiarity with sterile technique, cell culture workflows, and microscopy
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
Previous industry experience is an asset

Location: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our headquarters in Richmond, BC. Candidates must be able to work on-site from their start date. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.
