The Payroll & Finance Administrator is responsible for the processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll together with payroll monthly reconciliations, deductions, T4, ROE and other reporting needs as required. Additional to payroll the role will have
ad hoc monthly finance reconciliations and analytics requirements.
Please note this is an in-office position, located at our head office in Ottawa, ON, address: 2650 Queensview Dr. Unit #150, Ottawa, ON K2B 8H6.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
Process Payroll for head office, and US LLC on a bi-weekly basis
Process Payroll for installers on a weekly basis
General data entry and upkeep of payroll data using the payroll system
Complete month end requirements of the General Ledger for ProSlide Head Office, Installers and ProSlide LLC i.e. journals, reconciliations, accruals
Prepare Record of Employments (ROE)
Prepare yearend reporting requirements i.e. T4s/T4As, W2s
Responding to employees’ payroll inquiries, by phone and email
Process and reconcile the company pension scheme inclusive of monthly reporting, new enrollments, terminations, changes
Process and reconcile indirect tax requirements i.e. HST, GST
Other tasks as required
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
College diploma in accounting or related field. PCP Certification is an asset
2-3 years of experience in payroll processing is an asset
Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
Experience with payroll software, preferably Ceridian Dayforce
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with the employees and outside agencies in a courteous and effective manner
Detail orientated and high attention to detail
Adept at handling sensitive documents and situations, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
