Overview & Responsibilities Purpose of the Job: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality Specialist to support and enhance our workplace programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Environmental Health Safety & Quality (EHS&Q) SOP’s and regulations, ISO 9001, implementing safety programs, conducting audits, managing incidents/non-conformances, and fostering a strong safety and quality culture within the responsible facility. Specific Job Responsibilities/Competencies: Act as the Facility Safety and Quality Lead, providing guidance and support for all safety and quality-related initiatives under the direction of the Service Center Manager. Conduct monthly internal Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to EHS&Q and ensure site-wide compliance. Support and investigate workplace events, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Support and promote the Behavior-Based Safety initiatives to encourage a proactive approach to workplace safety. Assist in the development and execution of the local Safety Teams Programs, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Conduct new hire safety orientation and provide ongoing employee training on safety protocols and procedures. Support the development of Job Hazard Analysis to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace. Oversee medical surveillance scheduling, ensuring timely health evaluations for employees exposed to occupational hazards. Collect and maintain environmental manifests, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with waste disposal regulations. Act as focal point for the facility’s ISO 9001 certification. Evaluate all non-conformances to determine the proper path forward. Ensure accurate and timely submittal of Non-Conformance Reports and Quality Action Requests. Manage and maintain the calibration program for the facility. Ensure shop operations and procedures are carried out in accordance with the Quality Manual. Monitor and communicate scrap and rework costs to minimize the cost of quality for the facility. Background and Experience: Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2 + years of experience in an EHS or Quality role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying workplace hazards. An awareness and enthusiasm around quality and safety. Excellent communication and training abilities to engage employees at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in an EHS or Quality role.
