Our Major Projects group is currently looking to add a Medic to our growing team, based in the Thunder Bay area. The position is based in a remote camp environment on a shift rotation of 20 days on and 8 days off (20/8).
This is a fixed-term role from June 2025 to March 2027.
Reporting to the Safety Supervisor, we are seeking a Medic who has knowledge and experience to ensure the best patient care is provided to all project personnel for both occupational and non-occupation injury and illness.
Support disability management though the modified work program by completing assessments, follow up, reporting and arranging medical appointments when required
Follow-up with sick or injured workers
Complete post-incident/probably cause POCT Drug & Alcohol testing.
Knowledge and successful execution of all guidelines set out in the Valard Maintenance Support Security Program
Communicate with, and follow direction provided by Medical Oversight as required
Complete weekly deep cleans and sterilization of the clinic/MTC unit
Ensure that regular maintenance is completed on Valard MTC
Complete weekly inventory checks and order replacement stock from supervision
Maintain adequate records of all medications and expirations
Complete all patient care documentation in a timely fashion
Ensure all deliverables are completed with required detail and accuracy
Complete daily hazard assessments along with all other safety paperwork
Work collaboratively safety department and support initiatives
Participate and collaborate with project/construction management to ensure site medical coverage and emergency response plan is in place
Primary Care Paramedic Diploma from an accredited program
Provincial Certification/Registration
CPR / AED training
ITLS
IV Administration Certification
Valid Drivers License
Minimum 3 years experience
Criminal record check
Experience in Microsoft office applications
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
Demonstrate high level of professionalism
Demonstrate the application of risk assessment to company operations and activities.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the positions
