Job Description: The Senior Financial Analyst will work as part of the broader Portfolio Finance team. This will be a pivotal role within the team, responsible for overseeing the monthly close process, reviewing financial controls, managing audits, and supporting both internal and external reporting needs. They will ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of our financial reporting, working with the Portfolio businesses to improve group reporting and internal finance systems/processes. This role will also be actively involved with the implementation and design of OneStream. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and review of multiple business unit deliverables to close month/quarter/year ends Review monthly account reconciliations and COSO framework as part of Risk Management objectives Review complex financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow and conformity with accounting principles Gather and compile information on processes, organizational structure, computer technology, policies, and procedures. Streamline group reporting so it is consistent and efficient across the business units Coordinate and assist with internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor inquiries Maintain and coordinate consolidation software tools and processes Prepare and analyze management reporting, with a focus on key operating ratios to identify issues, opportunities and emerging trends for our business partners Prepare or oversee preparation of implementation specifications and technical documentation for OneStream and user manuals for new and revised computerized accounting systems Support multiple financial integration projects related to new acquisitions simultaneously Required Competencies / Experience: CPA or equivalent certification is preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS for software (specifically IFRS 15 & 16) Experience with BPC, OneStream, Great Plains, or Blackline is an asset Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines High integrity and personal ethics due to sensitive issues and information this role entails Desire to improve processes and systems rather than just keep the status quo Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working with cross-functional and international teams Well organized, detail oriented and able to work variable hours when required Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills A ‘can-do’ attitude taking ownership; prepared to be held accountable for actions, behaviors and targets International travel may be required for this role for business process review and acquisition integration An existing right to work in Canada is required.
