Akelius is seeking an experienced energy intern to join the Construction team.
The energy intern is responsible for assisting with identifying, reporting, and implementing energy-saving opportunities for Akelius properties and future acquisitions.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
utility consumption and cost data input
monitor energy consumption using both excel and web-platforms
analyze building utility consumption and cost data
evaluate building potential for sustainability prior to acquisition
assist with recommending measures for reducing utility consumption
assist with measurement and verification of savings from implemented measures
assist with energy project implementation
monitor energy-focused incentives and rebates
assist with submitting energy-focused incentives and rebates
other duties as assigned
who you are
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, environmental science and or building science
understanding of environmental, social and cost saving benefits of energy and water efficiency
exposure to or experience with corporate sustainability initiatives and programs
proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
proficiency in Power Query is an asset
