Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Where will you work: Onsite – Onsite Colonsay, Saskatchewan (The job location is at our mine site, situated 65 kilometers (approximately a 45-minute drive) from the city of Saskatoon) As a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic will safely and efficiently perform the duties of a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic in an assigned area on an assigned shift. What you’ll do? Reporting to the maintenance supervisor you will work as part of a team and be responsible for servicing the plant equipment and or underground mining equipment. Work safely in an industrial environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place. Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, fabricate, modify, and install plant equipment and or mining related equipment. Plan, layout and use trade skills for assigned work. Be able to work in the field, shop or underground. Proficient in laser alignment. Basic computer skills and ability to communicate and report any deficiencies or corrections noticed during routine maintenance or inspections either verbally or in writing. Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training. Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others. The position will require working on surface or underground as assigned. You may also be required to work a shift rotation requiring weekend work. What you’ll need: The successful applicant must hold an Interprovincial Journeyperson Red Seal certificate. Previous experience in a Mining or an Industrial Environment is an asset, (2-3 years). Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing. Must be authorized to work in Canada.
