Job Summary:
Our Job Search Advisors are foundational to our success as you support our processes and programs, and are often the first face or voice our clients engage with. In this role, you will be responsible for providing drop-in, self-serve employment services to the public, maintaining our job boards, greeting new and returning clients within our various reception points, and answering the phones. You will welcome, orient, and support! You are customer service extraordinaire and become a wealth of knowledge for the services we offer! We are looking for someone tech-savvy, organized, task-oriented, and enjoys working with people. Grow with us and take the first step toward a rewarding career in career development. This role is a great stepping stone, allowing you to gain hands-on experience with our programs, services, and community resources that support job seekers—all while making a meaningful impact in the communities where we live!
Education & Experience:
Grade 12 completion or equivalent
Office administration certification or equivalent is considered an asset
A post-secondary certificate, degree or diploma in a relevant field (i.e. Community Support Worker) is considered an asset
Sales/Customer service experience working with the general public, business community including serving diverse client populations (e.g. Youth, People with Disabilities, multi-barrier clients, etc.)
Demonstrated conflict-management skills/experience
Experience in the employment sector is an asset
