Description du posteCome and join our renowned and passionate team, specialized in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management, as a Health and Safety Advisor. With your expertise, you’ll support our client by providing advice on occupational health and safety. Your main objective will be to maintain our client’s assets in good condition at various sites on the South Shore (Longueuil and St-Hubert), as part of priority work to bring them up to standard and carry out major refurbishments.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with the requirements of the project manager's Prevention Framework Program (PCPMO)Provide OHS orientation for new workersIssue permits required under the PCPMO (e.g. hot work)Participate in meetings with all contractors working on each siteParticipate in safety breaks and ASTs with contractorsEnsure application of safety standards required by laws, regulations and policiesAdvise the customer on the direction to take to meet site-specific health and safety requirementsEstablish and maintain good relations with various stakeholders so as to remain proactive in accident preventionMonitor construction sites by carrying out periodic weekly preventive inspectionsRequire immediate correction of hazardous conditions identified during inspections, issue notices of deviation and correction, and ensure follow-upInvestigate near misses, accidents or incidents, when required, and recommend appropriate health and safety corrective measuresQualificationsDiploma of College Studies (DCS), University degree or other relevant OHS diplomaMinimum five (5) years’ relevant experience in the field of OHSExperience in construction work and projects within an existing facilityKnowledge of health and safety laws and regulations such as the OHSA, CSTC, RROHSKnowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel)Proficiency in spoken and written FrenchContact Alina Souralay#LI-Onsite Informations supplémentairesL’éthique et l’intégrité sont des valeurs fondamentales chez CIMA+.
