Role Summary
The Manager, Lease Administration will report to the Director of Property Accounting and will be responsible of the Lease administration team. This role is responsible for overseeing the lease administration function, including managing accurate input and ongoing maintenance of lease data within our system, ensuring full compliance with lease terms, including escalations, critical dates, and related obligations and some reporting. This role will also collaborate with different departments (Asset Management, Leasing, Property Management, Accounting and Legal) and with offshoring team.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management
Lead and motivate a highly engaged team by providing effective management, clear direction and leading by example.
Manage relationship and communication with outsource partner effectively
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through effective, communication, mentorship and coaching
Conduct performance management, identify development opportunities, and empower direct reports to achieve their full potential.
Lease Abstraction & Accounting Oversight
Review and approve lease abstraction to ensure accuracy, and completeness for both operational and accounting requirements.
Support team in the follow-up and resolution of complex and/or outstanding issues.
Review and approve tenant billings
Review the analysis and commentary of various deliverables including straight-line, vacancy, and occupancy reports ensuring accuracy and providing insightful feedback.
Project Leadership and Communication
Lead projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and adherence to objectives.
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
Problem Solving and Issue Resolution
Address complex issues with innovative and effective solutions
Prioritize tasks, manage multiple Simultaneous projects, and navigate ambiguous situations
Assess and advocate for necessary resources and technology requirements to support the needs of the team
Required Skills and Experience
At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar level management position within a real estate company
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
Strong management experience, positive and engaging leadership
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is considered an asset
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
