The Senior Associate, Quality Assurance primarily responsible for performing automation and performance testing for a suite of products. The role will focus on the ability to understanding testing requirements, test case creation, test execution, and reporting test results for to all partners for assigned projects. They will be an individual contributor who is responsible for the preparation of automation/performance test plans and test scripts using Selenium, JMeter, Java, VB scripting for host (mainframe) and distributed (web) applications. Key Job Functions/Responsibilities Analysis Use business requirements documents to analyze changes or modified code to create automation test strategies and test plans for various applications related to trading, wealth management which include securities knowledge, order processing, trade processing, mutual fund orders, managing various types of client and account profiles. Work closely with test manager and application test leads to identify areas of automation and develop scripts to leverage across various test releases Review existing test plans and scripts to determine where re-usable and/or improvements can be made Develop automation utilities to support test data generation needs Planning/Scripting Create test plans and scripts for new and changed functionality as per department policies and manual testing procedures for functional positive/negative testing, regression, End-to- End/Integration, performance testing. Ensure test data sets are created for QA testing. Ensure all manual QA documentation and QC manual test plan are maintained and kept up to date for SME applications. Participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure consistent testing methodologies. Testing Perform the functional (positive/negative), regression, end-to-end/integration testing for new and changed functionality to ensure that requirements have been met, that system behavior is as expected Develop and execute performance test scripts for Host and web applications using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc. Identify points of failure by tracing them to the original source code, where applicable. Liaise with the development teams and business team on testing discrepancies identified. Reporting Document, communicate, track, and manage test automation/performance development and execution results. Record testing discrepancies in the defect tracking system, including the necessary information to identify or recreate them. Report monthly progress on the automation and performance to various stakeholders. Basic Skill Level Requirements Education: University degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience and Skills: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing automation and performance scripts Hands-on Senior Automation tester with experience in Selenium, Java, Excel Macros, VB scripting, Python Good understanding on Software testing life cycle with testing experience in mainframe and web applications Experience in developing complex SQL queries to query DB2 and SQL tables Should have experience in using tools to define and develop performance test plans and test scripts Experience in development and maintenance of automation frameworks Develop and maintain automation scripts and execute to support upcoming releases Performance testing knowledge and experience in developing and executing performance test scripts for Host and Distributed applications using JMeter Ability to develop Performance test plans and develop performance test scripts Working experience with automation of API’s (SOAP/REST) using automation tools Wealth management /Capital markets - domain knowledge and testing experience is preferred. Experience in Securities, Mutual funds, Bonds, Order and trade processing, Client and account profile handling is a plus.
