All Bruce Power (Tiverton site) student opportunities for the May 2025 academic work terms are targeting in person placements. Ability to travel to site will be required. Available Work Terms: 4-months, 8 months. Key Responsibilities: Assist with radiation problems arising specifically in the reactor units at an independent multiunit nuclear station having three or more units, and assess on a continuing basis the effectiveness of such solutions. Formulate new or revised Radiation Protection Regulations for consideration, possible approval and use throughout Bruce Power's nuclear generating stations. Assist Supervisor in the oversight and implementation of the radiation protection program across site including RP procedural revisions, digitization of outdated processes, and streamlining metrics. Support implementation of changes to the RP program Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Public speaking skills Strong organizational and planning abilities Strong computer skills Good analytical skills Demonstrates strong learning agility Dependable and self-motivated Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team A strong understanding of safety in the workplace Education and Experience: Currently enrolled in the area of Science or Engineering or other relevant discipline (Health Physics, Medical Physics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Physics, etc.) Must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program Must have completed a minimum of one year post-secondary studies Must be returning full-time immediately following the work term to post-secondary studies or require a co-op term to graduate Why should you consider a co-op term at Bruce Power?
