These roles provide exciting opportunities in construction management supporting our communities with vital water and wastewater infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of thoroughness and communication skills with municipal construction experience.Primary Responsibilities:Engineering site inspection on municipal construction projects for quality control and adherence with applicable provincial standards, engineering design and technical speci?cationsDocument construction site activities (keeping a detailed daily report log, taking photos, performing survey checks, and recording as-built conditions) and identify and monitor de?cienciesProvide problem resolution and ?eld solutions with respect to unforeseen construction issuesReview and comment on construction progress payment certificates and quotationsArrange on-site geotechnical investigations and material testing (for concrete, granular materials, and asphalt) and coordinate with Engineering for specialist inspectionsLiaise with clients, regulatory inspectors, various utility companies, residents, and other stakeholders as requiredQualificationsMinimum 3 years of related experience in municipal engineering construction, with direct experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, storage or conveyance.Effective communicator possessing demonstrated skills in dealing with other staff, contractors, and the public, in matters arising from construction projectsAbility to interpret construction drawings and specificationsMTO Class ‘G’ driver’s license in good standing and access to a personnel vehicleWorking knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act and its Regulations, and Ontario Provincial Standards and Speci?cations (OPSS) for Municipal projectsDemonstrated skills in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)At CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
