Overview
The Manager, Talent Acquisition (Operations) reports directly to VP, Talent & Development and leads the national recruitment strategy for the bakeries and DCs roles across all Wonderbrands locations. This role requires strategic oversight, leadership, and operational excellence in managing a team of recruiters nationwide. You will ensure consistent, innovative, and efficient talent acquisition practices that reflect our values, elevate the candidate experience, and support long-term business growth.

Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a national team of recruiters supporting hourly manufacturing recruitment across multiple Canadian bakeries.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to build team capability and drive consistent best practices.
Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes, ensuring alignment with Wonderbrands’ talent strategy and business needs.
Collaborate with hiring managers, HR business partners, and the Corporate Talent Acquisition team to align recruitment programs and tools across locations.
Implement and enhance standardized recruitment practices, processes, and systems across all manufacturing sites.
Establish and manage relationships with vocational institutions, community partners, and employment groups to build a strong talent pipeline.
Partner with Talent & Development Business Partners and Manufacturing Leaders on workforce planning and future hiring needs.
Plan and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and community outreach initiatives to enhance brand visibility and attract top talent.
Optimize internal job posting and referral programs to support internal mobility.
Track, analyze, and report recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.
Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and brand-aligned messaging.
Build and maintain pipelines for critical hourly roles and adjust strategies using recruitment data, market insights, and benchmarks.
Contribute to special projects related to recruitment technology, employer brand development, and process optimization.
Stay current with recruitment trends and technologies, using social media, ATS platforms, and innovative sourcing channels.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on hourly/manufacturing roles.
2–3 years of experience leading recruitment teams in a multi-site or national capacity.
Proven expertise with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), job boards, social media, and recruitment analytics.
Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate high-performing teams, with a collaborative and accountable leadership style.
Strong understanding of employment legislation and compliance in Canadian recruitment practices.
Ability to develop and execute creative sourcing strategies tailored for high-volume and manufacturing environments.
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills; confident in relationship building and public speaking.
Experience improving recruitment processes in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
