Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QA/QC Electrical will be part of a high-performing project team dedicated to delivering a multi-year, billion-dollar major rail infrastructure project through collaboration and a best-for-project vision. This Position is in Toronto. What You Will Be Working On Perform quality control inspections on electrical work related to civil infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, tunnels, and transit systems. Verify that electrical installations are in compliance with project drawings, specifications, and codes. Assist in the development and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and complete associated checklists and reports. Support field crews and subcontractors by answering questions related to electrical quality requirements and proper installation procedures. Document inspection findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions using standardized forms and digital systems (e.g., Procore, SharePoint). Assist in preparing and organizing documentation for project turnover and commissioning phases. Participate in walkthroughs with project stakeholders and assist with identifying punch list items related to electrical work. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of inspection reports, test results, and as-built documentation. Help coordinate third-party inspections, utility approvals, and testing as needed. Collaborate with engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors to address and close out non-conformances in a timely manner. Stay informed on relevant codes and standards such as the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), CSA, and other applicable civil project requirements. What We Are Looking For Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of quality control or inspection experience on infrastructure or construction projects. Familiarity with civil infrastructure electrical systems such as street lighting, traffic signals, grounding, conduit banks, and low-voltage distribution. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and construction documents. Working knowledge of QA/QC processes including inspections, ITPs, NCRs, and test documentation. Basic understanding of applicable codes and standards (OESC, CSA, NEC, etc.). Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with field management tools like Procore, Bluebeam, or SharePoint is an asset. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to work in a field environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
