How you’ll make a difference: In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with Psychologists to support psychological, neuropsychological, and rehabilitation program assessments. You’ll be responsible for administering and scoring a variety of testing instruments, and you’ll contribute to clinical reporting that helps appropriately triage and shape patient care and outcomes. Your responsibilities: Performing Mild Traumatic Brain Injury intake screening and obtaining client information. Administering and scoring psychometric instruments and other tests. Writing descriptive behavior observations and preparing sections of reports. Assisting with behavioral or psycho-physiological assessments and treatment. Maintaining test security and confidentiality in accordance with the Canadian Psychological Association code of ethics. Accountabilities include technical analysis (tracking hours), maintaining the testing library (ordering protocols, obtaining authorization for ordered tests, billing issues), and scheduling procedures. Your experience and skills: Bachelor’s degree in psychology and practices within the scope of practice of psychology as defined in Section 22 of the Health Professions Act and practices under the supervision of a registered psychologist. At least one year of experience in the administration and scoring of psychological tests in clinical populations and in a rehabilitation setting, and/or an advanced understanding of the administration and scoring of psychological/neuropsychological assessment measures is preferred. Demonstrated skills with current adult psychological, cognitive and neuropsychological assessment measures is also preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Experience working on interdisciplinary teams. Knowledge of provincial regulations and the College of Alberta Psychologists Standards. Highly developed interpersonal skills. Provide written work at a professional level with an understanding of relevant psychological knowledge. The ability to work 7.25 hour shifts between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, is required.
