Unposting Date: 2025-08-10 11:59 PM Indigenous Pathways is a paid, full-time, 9-month learning and development opportunity that supports First Nations, Inuit or Métis to hone their skills at CBC. Indigenous Pathways provides training as part of an all-Indigenous cohort, career development support and work experience. Journalism or Media Production education or job experience are not required to apply. The program starts in October 2025 and runs until June 2026. One successful candidate will be based with each of this year’s host teams. This position will be based in Toronto. This role is within the CBC Unscripted Content department with the Q and Commotion digital team and CBC Music’s Content & Events team. This role is full-time. The team works in a hybrid model, working from home and in the office as required. Relocation costs are not covered. Grow relationships with, and be supported by, mentors, trainers, peers, and Indigenous colleagues Gain valuable professional experience. Your Role: As an Associate Producer, you will have the opportunity to join a pair of fast-paced and innovative teams. With the Q and Commotion digital team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on content that extends audio-first storytelling into videos, writing and social media; with the CBC Music content and events team, you’ll join the live music team on the leadup to the JUNOS, one of our highest-profile and most collaborative projects, learning about how to produce video in a live music environment. You’ll also join the digital content team where you’ll learn how to research and write original stories, as well as shoot, host and edit video for YouTube and social media. Throughout, you will work under the direction of one or more producers and be introduced to the larger teams. You will have plenty of opportunities to take initiative and show independent judgment.
