Overview of The Role Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs – North America, you will be responsible for managing a substantial international trademark portfolio. Your attention to detail and accuracy will be key in ensuring all trademark data is kept up to date, and in managing communications with foreign correspondent firms and internal clients. You will also work closely with the legal assistants to support Saputo’s in-house counsel as well as the overall administration of the Legal Department. How You Will Make Contributions That Matter: Maintain an up-to-date database of all trademarks owned by Saputo and its subsidiaries worldwide. Assist in the preparation of various legal documents relating to trademark matters. Manage all communications related to the trademark portfolio with our global network of law firms and internal stakeholders. Use technological tools to track deadlines for the entire portfolio. Participate in the preparation of the department’s budget and related follow-ups. In collaboration with other team members, provide support to the legal team, including assisting with the preparation of legal documents, reports, and the opening, organization, maintenance, and monitoring of legal files. Use technology tools for contract preparation and execution. Perform any other related duties. You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications: Curious, resourceful, and eager to learn. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Strong interest in leveraging technology in daily tasks. Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and work independently. Tactful, sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, precision, and discretion. Customer-service oriented with strong team spirit. Professional demeanor and ability to manage priorities. Excellent organizational skills. Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, is essential. The incumbent must be able to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across Quebec and internationally, via email and phone. Knowledge of IP rights portfolio management software, Ariba, and/or DocuSign is an asset. Experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department is considered an asset. As part of their duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America.
