In this position, you will be responsible for the required to safely operate the meter buildings to ensure the safety and reliability of the station. This is a maintenance and operations position based in Fort St John, BC. What you will do: Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each meter building within your region as required Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required. Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training. Perform maintenance/operations activities Create/review procedures. Be capable of working all Unifor 4960 shifts. Who you are: You have the following qualifications and skills: Required: Journeyperson Electrician Measurement experience. Valid driver’s license. Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and drug testing. (applicable to successful external candidates only) 3-5 years related work experience. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred: Dual ticketed Journeyperson Electrician, Instrument Mechanic and/or Millwright in addition would be considered an asset. Experience working with pneumatic controls and programmable controllers. Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly. Demonstrated self-starter. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support. Experience working in the oil & gas industry.
