Job Purpose: Operate various machines which fabricate cardboard boxes by performing these duties. Job Responsibilities: Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications: To work as a single operator for the box-forming machine as assigned by the Production Co-Ordinator. Single operators are required to perform the following tasks while adhering to all safety protocols: Load flat cardboard into the machine, making sure there is enough flat board always loaded to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. Take the formed boxes off the machine Inspect formed boxes for quality control Stack formed boxes onto skids Prepare completed formed box skids to get picked up by a finished goods material handler. Conduct in-process checks at established intervals to ensure the product meets quality expectations. Accurately report production related information. Report suspected quality issues to Production Co-Ordinator or designate. Report on machine issues to Production Co-Ordinator or Maintenance staff for resolution. Document Production KPIs on production paperwork Document scrap numbers and reasons Document downtime and reasons Document run time, material, yield Comply with all company policies and safety regulations as required. Immediately report all injuries and other safety incidents. Perform other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned Education and Experience: High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to read and comprehend documents providing safety rules, safety data sheets and procedure manuals.
