Suncor is seeking a passionate Digital Delivery Analyst to join our team as a key SME for our External Affairs and Employee Communications colleagues to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement for Suncor’s external and internal websites. This role leads the front-end management of a suite of analytics solutions used to measure the effectiveness of our digital channels, provides strategic web analytics expertise, and has thorough understanding of leading industry trends and best practices in digital strategy, online communications, and social media monitoring / marketing. The Digital Delivery Analyst supports and help enhance the skills and expertise of the Web Experience team, particularly in the areas of web publishing, user experience design (UX), visual design and layout, accessibility, responsive/adaptive, and mobile-friendly design. This role also provides front-end expertise in Microsoft SharePoint and related applications in the M365 toolset, to support internal communication and business objectives, including a third-party intranet-in-a-box solution. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Design, Multimedia, Communications or Technology Holds a Google Analytics Data Analytics Certificate 5+ years of experience using analytics programs to measure the effectiveness of digital properties 5+ years hands-on experience with intranet / digital workplace suites (SharePoint/M365 preferable) and range of content management systems, including Sitecore Strong knowledge of current web technology and on-line communication trends/best practices Understanding of front-end web development, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery Knowledge of implementing and managing SEO strategies, improving website rankings, and increasing organic traffic. Additional Skills: Knowledge of accessibility standards and hands-on experience applying them Knowledge of Coveo search analytics an asset Visual design and multimedia skills (proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) an asset Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Highly organized and customer-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment Key Responsibilities: Partners with D&IT (Suncor’s IT dept) and Downstream Marketing on standards, guidelines, processes, and governance related to the Google Analytics family of products Serves as a web analytics SME for the External Affairs function and Provide learning guidance to colleagues for building web analytics acumen Partners with Employee Communications to develop strategies for measuring and continuously improving employee engagement, particularly with hard-to-reach frontline workers, through intranet features such as personalization and content audience / targeting Provides expertise and experience in the application of standards for web design, accessibility design, user experience design (UX), search engine optimization (SEO) Develops and implements SEO strategies and analyzes / reports on SEO performance Has a thorough understanding of accessibility guidelines and standards, as well as experience in implementing accessibility solutions for digital content Proactively monitors the latest trends in web analytics tools and methodologies, and keeping our collective analytics tools and processes current Provides expertise in Sitecore, MS SharePoint, the MS Power suite, as well as related web technologies Influences web enhancement and feature development decisions, based on data and insights Delivery of digital analytics, from KPI definition to data analysis, interpretation, presentation, report / dashboard creation, and provides actionable insights on the performance of digital channels Location and other Key Details: You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
