Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Full Time Scale House Attendant at our location in Abbotsford, BC. As a Scale House Operator, your job duties will include weighing trucks, and trailers IN and OUT over the scale; entering appropriate data into computer (product, weight, customer name, etc.); interfacing with company drivers, outside haulers, and 3rd party vehicles. Pay: $55k/year Address: 34321 Industrial Way| Abbotsford, BC, V2S 7M6 Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM Essential Job Duties: Scale Attendant/ Dispatch duties as required including, but not limited to: Weighing inbound and outbound loads Filing and organizing customer and district tickets Dispatching and route closing for operations Scheduling frontload, residential, or roll off calls as needed Communicating out to customers service solutions or issues Organizing outbound baled cardboard and comingled loads Requirements: · Good data entry skills · Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel · Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills · Position may be required overtime work depending on business need · Heavy equipment experience would be an asset, but not required Physical Requirements: · The position is located in the Scale House. · Must be able to sit for long periods of time. · Use of telephone, computers, and various other office equipment, is essential Waste Connections of Canada/Enviro Connexions is an Equal Opportunity Employer Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets.
