Job Summary
We are seeking a 3rd year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student to work within our Development Engineering Team, for a 4 month Co-op Term. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members in providing support to various products manufactured at S&C and will gain exposure to engineering design principles as well as manufacturing techniques.
Work Term: Fall 2025
Work Arrangement: Onsite 5x per week (Mon - Fri)
Work Location: 90 Belfield Rd., Etobicoke, ON
Job Responsibilities
Design revisions using Solid Edge 3D CAD software
Support Development Team projects; exposure to mechanics, electronics, high power electrical, software and systems engineering
Investigate product designs to meet customer requirements
Assist with product testing (mechanical, electrical, software)
Responsible for managing short duration projects from initial concept to prototyping to implementation
Qualifications
3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong interest in power systems engineering
Able to work a 4 Month Co-op Work Term for the Fall of 2025 (Sept-Dec)
Excellent verbal communication skills
A team player who is also able work to independently under supervision of a senior team member
Structured problem-solving experience and exposure to Lean principles
Quick learner
Experience using 3D modelling tools such as, Solid Edge, is a strong asset
Experience with product development testing, an asset
