Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Case Management, the Manager, Vocational Rehabilitative Services is responsible for leading a team of Vocational Rehabilitative Specialists ensuring they achieve optimal return to work outcomes, with a primary focus on leading, managing and developing the service and delivery of all vocational rehabilitative services to injured workers and employers.
This role is responsible for the development of vocational best practices in disability management and the prevention of work disability in support of our culture of continuous process improvement. This role combines leadership, strategic oversight, and a commitment to delivering high-quality vocational services that drive successful rehabilitation and workplace reintegration. In addition, this role will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of all vocational rehabilitative services related quality assurance programing and training.
Qualifications:
A University degree in a related discipline and a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in progressively responsible leadership positions including significant experience in vocational services, counseling, case management, disability management or a similar field. This experience should involve leading and supporting a team that handles clients with complex needs. Extensive knowledge of the principles and methodologies of the Workers’ Compensation Act, other related legislation, case planning, developing individual rehabilitation plans, goal setting and documenting progress.
