About the Role: Reporting to the Department Chair, the Digital Media Coordinator provides digital media support to faculty, staff and students in teaching, research and promotional capacity. The Digital Media Coordinator will: Engage students, faculty and the broader community through content creation, social media management and events; Develop creative content that forges community connection at Brock and in the Niagara Region by utilizing the Communication, Popular Culture & Film (CPCF) style guide; Assist in creation of visuals or other content to promote CPCF courses and programs for current and potential undergraduate students; Create and implement a website and social media content calendar highlighting deadlines for special events, awards, and academic activities; Manage the CPCF social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube); Attend, participate, and document departmental events in stories, videos, or other posts; Support experiential learning and new infrastructures for digital media content production in classes, as well as in dedicated video production classes; Provide classroom support for digital media accounts; Liaise with other units for educational technologies used elsewhere at Brock and specific to CPCF courses to achieve experiential learning or relevant pedagogical goals; Support and troubleshoot learning through workshops or one or one consultations when necessary; Assist faculty members with technological needs for research and teaching including the CPCF Film Archive; Assist faculty with data collection and digital storage in compliance with ethical research standards and relevant policies. Key Skills and Experience: A University degree or three-year college diploma in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Relevant experience; Advanced knowledge of digital media production software, on-line media platforms, educational technologies and research applications; Advanced knowledge and skills with various digital tools and digital media applications to support students; Proven leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to foster and develop an environment of teamwork and collaboration; Strong communication skills, both oral and written; Knowledge of relevant pedagogical teaching principles; Experience managing and updating social media accounts; Ability to troubleshoot student learning through workshops or one on one consultations; Ability to effectively manage time and set priorities working with multiple users, tasks, projects and deadlines in an academic environment. Salary and Total Rewards: Job Grade J Salary Scale ($56,503-$91,627); Target Hiring Range: $56,503-$59,000; prorated to reflect part-time hours; This is a permanent, part-time position that includes: Health & Dental Benefits: Comprehensive extended health, dental, and vision coverage.
