About the role
As a Quality Assurance and Repairs Specialist at Omtech, your primary responsibility is ensuring the quality of laser engraving machines, focusing on repairs and maintenance. You will be pivotal in maintaining product quality standards and providing efficient repairs.
What you'll do
Main Responsibilities/Functions
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality-related issues.
Inspect new products quality on new containers
Produce report on quality of company products to make sure it it passes company quality standards
Repackage QC items that were used to test.
Testing and Analysis:
Perform various tests on products to identify defects or malfunctions.
Utilize testing equipment and tools to assess product performance and functionality.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on product quality.
Repair and Maintenance:
Diagnose and troubleshoot defects or malfunctions in products.
Conduct repairs and adjustments to correct identified issues.
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to implement long-term solutions to recurring problems.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of inspection and testing results.
Document repair procedures and keep accurate records of all repairs performed.
Generate reports on product quality, defects, and resolutions.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality enhancement initiatives.
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in quality assurance.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Equivalent
Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor
Superb computer competence, including database management
Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practices
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Chinese
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and how QA functions within it
Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor
