Job Summary WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Senior Manager (Personal Banking Investigations) leads a team of investigators and managers and oversees and directs the planning and coordination of investigations referred to the Unit internally and by RBC partners. They ensure cases are clearly documented and provide clearly reasoned and timely outcomes, findings, and actions for the purpose of mitigating financial, regulatory, reputational, and legal risk to RBC, consistent with putting our clients first. Job Description WHAT WILL YOU DO? Mentor and Coach team members for on-going professional development to ensure that individuals and collective team knowledge is current and comprehensive to support the investigation process and to ensure that outcomes, including decisions and recommendations are based on a thorough understanding of risk and made in the context of relevant and full knowledge. Oversees investigations conducted by the Team. Manages team members’ performance. Reviews investigation reports to ensure regulatory requirements are met and sufficient quality of submissions from the team Where required attend committee meetings, for example Client File Review meetings. On behalf of the Head of Investigations has responsibility of ensuring that Team members have the knowledge, right skill sets, competencies, training, and resources to best achieve the team goals WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: Experience in financial and money laundering crime investigation and / or a law enforcement / regulatory background and/or banking background. Proven leadership skills. Prior managerial experience Knowledge of banking systems and processes Strong AML knowledge Strong knowledge of relevant predicate offences Nice-to-have: Post-Secondary degree in relevant field of study (i.e. business, criminology, law) Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation (or able to attain within 6 months) What’s in it for you?
