Role Overview & Key Responsibilities:
We’re seeking a technically skilled and finance-savvy professional to join our team as a Reporting & Data Migration Analyst. In this role, you’ll support clients by migrating financial data into our platform and developing custom reporting solutions that meet their unique operational and accounting needs. You'll play a critical role in reconciling financial records, ensuring data integrity, and providing valuable insights that help clients manage their loan portfolios effectively.
A background in finance or accounting is essential, as you'll work closely with CFOs and accountants to validate financial reporting accuracy. Experience in the Private Lending or Mortgage industry is highly valuable and provides important context for the data and reports you'll be managing.
Data Migration
Perform full-cycle ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) of client data from spreadsheets, legacy software, and third-party systems into our platform.
Map, format, and validate financial datasets including loan details, payment histories, investor splits, and transaction logs.
Reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client books.
Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies and guide them through the migration process.
Reporting & Analysis
Work directly with CFOs, controllers, and accountants to reconcile financial records with platform-generated reports.
Validate data across amortization schedules, interest calculations, investor allocations, and general ledger outputs.
Build and maintain custom reports (e.g., investor statements, remittance summaries, operational dashboards).
Use advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP, array formulas) to detect variances and support decision-making.
Translate raw data into clear, concise, and actionable reports that align with accounting standards and client needs.
Client Interaction & Support
Act as a primary contact for clients during data migration and reporting phases, delivering expert-level support.
Host one-on-one and small-group video calls to walk clients through reports, review reconciliations, and explain technical outcomes.
Set clear expectations on timelines, deliverables, and technical limitations.
Explain complex data and financial concepts in a clear and approachable manner, adapting to a range of technical skill levels.
Maintain accurate documentation of client communication and project progress.
Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in Business or Finance is preferred, but not required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, advanced formulas, XLOOKUP, and data validation).
Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and general ledger reconciliation.
Experience performing data migrations or working with structured financial datasets.
Prior experience in a finance, accounting, or technical client-facing role, ideally within a SaaS or financial services environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical and financial data to clients.
Confident leading discussions and walkthroughs over video calls, both one-on-one and in small groups.
Bonus Qualifications (not required):
Experience in private lending, LOS, or mortgage technology platforms
Mortgage/Real Estate business, including agent, broker licenses etc.
Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and reporting in lending environments
