Job Description As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting customers through on-site activities such as installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor chemical instrumentation products. Installs and optimizes hardware and software. Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems. Performs maintenance and repair services. Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business. Delivers (does not design) fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals and applications. Serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations. Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers. Position is in the Edmonton area Qualifications Post Secondary Degree within the science field – e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar or relevant work experience. 4+ years experience with GC, GCMS or in a similar position or experience as an end user. Experience in chemical laboratories in the hydrocarbon industry or gas-phase analysis industries. Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving. Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential. Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful and timely. You enjoy travelling and visiting customers. Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $78,560.00 - $122,750.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
