What You Will Do: Work in conjuction with the Property Management Department, Contractors and other staff to ensure buildings, suites and common areas are maintained in a “A” Class condition. Perform regular inspections to identify and report deficiencies such as missing door stops, plumbing leaks, water leaks, damaged walls, damaged doors, appliance issues, etc. Assist Resident Caretakers and onsite staff in various capacities including shoveling snow, minor cleaning after trades have conducted work, moving appliances, cleaning out roof drains, etc. Perform painting tasks as outlined by Management, including painting common areas, suite entry doors, door jambs, and exterior areas such as patio decks and siding. Remove and clean up any graffiti as needed. Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, tile setting, grouting, carpentry, and cabinetry repairs. Perform all finishing work required for maintenance tasks. Conduct quality assurance walkthroughs of units prior to tenant occupancy. Work with the onsite team in tendering out service contracts and third-party work for capital improvements. Proactively replace lightbulbs throughout residential buildings or as assigned by Management. Perform any general Maintenance Technician repairs and painting necessary for the maintenance of suites and common areas. Check in with Management daily at agreed-upon times. Procure necessary supplies and materials, ensuring all orders are made with Purchase Orders and Management approval. Safely store tools during and after work, with sole responsibility for tools and materials. Fulfill any other duties as required by Management. What You Will Bring: Minimum of two years experience as a Maintenance Technician. Ability to work independently. General maintenance skills. Approaches daily responsibilites with a postive attitude. Consistently maintains professional, courteous attitude when dealing with coworkers, tenants. Ability to provide own tools and materials.
