You'll also have the opportunity to work in a modern, inspiring environment.The Supervisor, Workshops and Special Projects is responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance personnel working in the avionics, engine, and structures workshops. They incumbent also manages special projects related to the YUL hangar and participates in various committees, including those focused on health and safety, and the environment.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesEnsure that all maintenance activities in the internal workshops are carried out in accordance with the MPM/MCM and the CARs;Participate in the evaluation of major repairs to be performed on aircraft and aircraft parts in collaboration with the Engineering department;Ensure proper inventory management of tools and materials so that internal workshop technicians can perform their tasks safely and in compliance with regulations;Ensure that hangar employees follow health, safety, and environmental protection procedures, making sure they are well understood and applied, while actively participating in the relevant committees;Ensure that only properly certified parts and materials are used;Certify the compliance of components required for the work and issue a Maintenance Release Tag;Conduct annual evaluations of technicians’ progress;Encourage and engage employees to achieve departmental goals;Monitor absenteeism, unproductivity, and other performance issues, and report on them.Promote a positive and progressive approach to discipline;Coordinate with other bases to follow up on technical discrepancies;Ensure that all documents related to modifications and major repairs are duly signed and submit the TSM-064 report form;Successfully carry out special assignments entrusted by the Manager, Line and Hangar Maintenance.QualificationsCollege diploma (DEC) in aircraft or equivalent;5 years of experience in aircraft ;Aircraft Maintenance Engineering licence (AME), type «M2», «E», «S», an asset;Experience as Team Leader, an asset;Bilingualism essential (French and English);Proficiency with AMOS, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
