Sustained by its 65 years experience, Manitoulin developed the transportation knowledge that is relied on and trusted by clients in various industries.Job Description• Tracing of freight, which includes looking for missing freight, looking up PODs and B/L'S, finding out when a shipment was delivered, etc. • Exception reports for customers with dropped trailers – reporting to the shipper the next day by 0900 • Interline exception reports for all partner carriers’ US & Canadian, both northbound and southbound • Requests by customers and terminals via phone calls or emails • Gathering information on shortages, no pros, no goods, etc, and finding common issues to report to the Supervisor. • Calling the customer with exceptions to verify possible damages, shortages, re-routing, and various other duties as requested by the customer regarding delivery problems. • Obtaining return authorizations from customers or authorizations to reroute or re-deliver as required. Obtaining phone numbers, confirming terms, etc. • Camera checks for missing freight • Answering emails within 45 minutes • Dealing with upset customers Hours -7 AM to 3:30 pm dailyQualificationsQualifications• Pleasant mannerism is required • Well organized • Ability to work unsupervised • Knowledge of computers and typing skills are essential • Excellent data entry and listening/communicating skills • Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation • Ability to prioritize and multitask • Ability to handle stressful situations and keep calm • Team player • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written • Providing customers with excellent customer service and escalating issues Forklift experience is an assetAdditional InformationCompetitive Wages starting at $21.32/hourComprehensive Benefits ProgramProfit-Sharing OpportunitiesOpportunities for growth and advancement
